I learned today that Sean Krause from thedailybs has passed away.  I didn’t know Sean as well as some others did, but had assisted him, along with Mono from MMAC when Sean did his piece on the fake charity “Lighting the Way Home“.  His site is not coming up, but you can read the archived version at the link.  That article is indicative of how Sean handled all of his investigative reports.  He just flat out called you out.  Done.  He didn’t beat around the bush, nor did he back down.  Sean was a bulldog in that respect.

I think that’s what made him a rebel in the true crime blogosphere.  He held fast to his beliefs and if you didn’t like them, well…go read Disney.  LOL  There aren’t enough cuss words in the vocabulary to describe his loathing of anyone who hurt a child.

He will be missed.  It is also times like these that make  us question our own mortality.  Life is short, and much too short for others.  Death forces us to think about our own lives and the legacy that we hope to leave behind.  So today, rather than question why he was taken so soon, I have a request for my readers.   I’m asking that everyone do something nice today to honor Sean.   It doesn’t matter what it is as long as it makes you feel good.  This is the way we should continue to honor Sean’s memory – to continue doing good and helping those who are unable to help themselves.

    you know what, Princess?

I think sending a donation to TES in Sean’s memory is what I’d like to do.

From what I’ve read, Sean supported TES and I would bet that he would be happy to know that TES would receive memorial donations in his name.

    RIP Sean Krause.

Sean will be missed. Sean wrote in a no-bull manner, called out anything he saw as wrong, and didn’t pussyfoot around anyone’s feelings. He saw it, he called it, he wrote it. Sean sent me here, to BH-I would never have read or heard of Princess otherwise, and I am SO glad he did. I read Sean’s column to get the truth on stories, with out all the crap and spin most media put on things. I came here to find the same refreshing honesty. He was an honest writer, and a dedicated person. He is too young to be gone-but cancer does that-it does not care about its victims.
Trouble, I think donating to TES in Sean’s name is wonderful. Anyone wanting to donate to any organization in Sean’s name that helps children is honorable-and we know how hard TES works to bring the children home. My condolences to Sean’s family, and David Lohr, who will miss his friend, and to all of us who will no longer have Sean’s words of sarcasm and biting humor to go through out day with us. Sean, give Caylee a hug from me!!

I did not know Mr. Krause. I did however read his blog on occasion. I can’t remember how I got there but the past few months have been a blur for me in regard to the true crime blogosphere. I too was pointed to this site by The Daily BS or, was it, the other way around? The work that was done by all concerned in “The Lighting the Way Home” charity fraud peaked my interest and that was it -- I was hooked. I was hooked on paying attention to internet fraud even on forums and blogs. I used to stick to Health forums due to my husband’s Celiac disease and it was always pretty much run of the mill type stuff. Princess, you and your work in exposing Murt and other con men and women is to be commended. The Daily BS site always told it like it was and so do you. Although at times The Daily BS gave me heartburn I did check in there every once in a while. How dare fraudsters try to take advantage of a community of people who care. I still can’t wrap my arms around it. I will do something nice for someone today as you suggest. But, not to make me feel good -- I want to make them feel good. The fact that Mr. Krause was so young is weighing heavy on me given the age of my own children (32, 30, 27, 22) and I just want to say thanks for allowing us to speak our minds. Bless you and Sean Krause.

Very sorry to hear about Sean. I know the night he did Greta he didn’t look well at all but I was hoping it was just the chemo and maybe things would start getting better. Donating to TES sounds like a great idea. Also next month is the Relay for Life campaign and it really helps children with Leukemia so please keep that in mind when looking to donate to a very worthy cause. It’s through the American Cancer Society.

I read The Daily BS on occasion beginning with the Light The Way Home fraud. Sean was definitely opinionated and it was very easy to know what lay deep in his heart. During his battle with his cancer, he soldiered on, trying to write his blog during his chemo treatments. Hopefully a few other bloggers will take up his cause with the same passion as Sean had. Rest in peace Sean, you fought the good fight, brave soul.

A donation in his honor to TES would be a fitting memorial.

I’m so sorry to hear of Sean’s passing :( I notice that TDBS has been down a few days ago and, though I’ve only been visiting his site for a few months, I was a huge fan of Sean, having seen him on Greta’s On the Record. Visiting TDBS quickly became a habit for me; Sean had a way of laying the facts out just as they were; reporting the truth -- Uncensored, unashamed, and straight from his heart. He helped so many other people in his short time, and I so admired him!

TCBS was a reliable news source. I pray that someone will carry on Sean’s work and that someone writes that book in honor of him!

His family and friends are in my thoughts and prayers tonight. This is truly a sad, sad day. :: Real Tears ::

OH PRINCESS I AM SO SORRY FOR SAYING THIS AS I KNOW YOU WANT EVERYONE TO BE RESPECTFUL TODAY, AND I AGREE BUT….SUPERSAL YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO BRING DREARINESS AND DREAD WHEN YOU POST, WHY? WHY NOT JUST RESPECT THE FRIENDS AND FAMILY OF SEAN AND KEEP YOUR NEGATIVE THOUGHTS AND WORDS TO YOURSELF ….FOR ONCE!!!

For once, please take the CAPS key off of your keyboard. Makes your messages much easier to read. I did not see this Blog for sean krause as a eulogy. I saw it more as a blog about his passing and a way to talk about him (for those of us that actually met him). Please do not attempt to “temper” this blog regarding content. Princess can and will do that. Have a great day.

I removed the other comments because I found them to be very disrespectful. I run a lax gig around here, but I will not tolerate disrespect towards those who comment on this blog. Everyone’s opinions are welcome, however, I have about had my fill of bullshit for the night.

I’m not pointing fingers at anyone in particular, but the shitty remarks need to stop or I’ll just turn commenting off all together. Take a look at some of the bad behavior not only here, but those who leave shit ass comments on other sites. I’m fucking done with it. I’ve been told I am the one who should be dead, and then I have to read this crap? It’s not going to happen here, and if anyone has a problem with it, then I implore you to start your own blog where you get to make the rules. What the hell ever happened to respecting the dead? Some of the behavior that I have witnessed today is DESPICABLE, and I am ashamed for those who have behaved like trash. I’m embarrassed for them as it’s obvious most are lacking moral compass and social boundaries. I’m going to bed. I better not wake up to a bunch of shit in the morning or I am going to go the F off.

    Princess,
We want to thank you for caring so much for Sean. What ever what ever and not for not, he was a remarkable guy. Everyone has rubbed someone the wrong way at some point and I am beyond glad that Sean did it HONESTLY. He was always honest. He never bullshit anyone. What he said was what he meant and how he felt.
I loved that most about him.
WE knew him a bit differently than the fans of the sites and cyber world. We could look into his eyes and see how much love he had for everyone. How much injustices pained him.
Even I disagreed with him from time to time. Some of my last words to him were yelling at him to fight with me the way he’d always done.
Get up and yell at me, Sean. Open your eyes and YELL> Tell me how much I piss you off…
I wish he had. I wish he would have
And he’s have his opinion, and I would dispute it. We would debate and then he’d say.. You know, I never saw it that way, and that’s a good point.
    I miss his passion.
    I miss his curls.
    I miss his stutter.
    I miss him saying “Actualy….”
Thank you all for your support.
Funeral arrangements are being laid right now.
We are already hurting so much… Please keep whatever negative opinions about my kid brother to yourself right now. For Christ’s sake he hasn’t even been laid to rest yet. Do the decent thing…

I am truly sad. Although I read occasionally on Sean’s site- I do check with Princess daily!

I have to say something! I am impressed by both Sean and Princess. Coming from a professioanl point of view- both of you have talented and superior styles of communication! The written word is there forever, and we always have that from you both. Also, your ages! So many times today we hear so much criticism about the generations that are up and coming (I am not much older than you both, but admire your drive and ambition)….we always manage to hear and read about the seemingly negative criticism. Both Sean & Princess show us fierce dedication to *righting* the wrongs and warning us of the *too numerous* evil-doers in the real world that are there to take all that they can from hardworking and all too vunerable people with big hearts and big compassion.

I am sorry about Sean, he was much too young to be taken from us. But perhaps we should realize this comforting thought….Baby Caylee Marie has one of her heros and one of her strongest defenders there by her side and holding her hand. Forever.

I am however, grateful that we still have Princess here with us- keeping us informed and standing up and defending us all. Thank you Princess. I can always use more heros in my life….there aren’t many around! I can see Princess at the age of 92 sitting on her rocking chair on her front porch with her *sistas*, writing our daily blog and warning all of us about the nasty intruders that are there to take advantage of us all!

So, even though it’s too late for me to thank Sean for how he positively impacted my life, I want to take the time to make sure that you, Princess, know just how much you impact me. Thank you, Princess, for being my hero and watching my back, so I can live my life with my eyes open!

I was so happy to make friends with Sean a few months ago, and even happier to help raise funds for a new laptop. I knew how ill he was, even though he really tried to downplay it. We spent many hours on the phone and I loved his sense of humor. He was a true champion for children and I had hoped against hope that he would live to fight the good fight for more abused and neglected children in the future. Alas, that was not to be. I will miss him and his bright wit. My heart today is with those who loved him and treasured him. May they find peace and solace in knowing that Sean made an impact in his short life…an impact that many of us are never able to make. Shine on bright star, shine on. Your memory will live on with those of us who truly knew your heart and your dreams.
