“When you rape them, they tend to object”
The past few weeks have been very emotionally grueling as far as some of the horrific crimes against children that have been highlighted on national news. The Shaniya Davis case has again brought to light that some people just should NOT have children – EVER. It also has given pause to how these cases are discussed because they are so disturbing and the actions of the adults that perpetrate these crimes is atrocious and beyond evil.
Shaniya Davis was removed from her home by her aunt’s ex-boyfriend, Mario McNeill, and taken to a hotel where she 
was no doubt raped and subsequently asphyxiated and tossed to the side of the road with dead animals. Even in death she was abused, and there is no way to pad the words to make them not stab at your heart. The crimes against this child were that horrific.
There is nothing remotely funny about what happened to Shaniya, and there is nothing that could be cute or witty about the circumstances surrounding her death. She was handed over to a grown man for sex by her mother, and that man violated her and killed her. What is cute about that? I find NOTHING in that situation to make light of or to make off color or sarcastic remarks about. Do you? Is there anything about Shaniya’s story that you would make light of?
Maybe she screamed when the man violated her? Maybe she was accidentally killed while being raped. Maybe she annoyed her rapist by crying out for someone to help her. Do these words make you sick to your stomach? They should! And a well-known talking head made these remarks. Read on:
Well, my guess is, Pat, that he accidentally killed her he was while raping her. You know, little children are just annoying that way. When you rape them, they tend to object. They tend to be upset about it. So you have to do something like smother them or strangle them because they`re just — they`re just complaining too much. And so my guess is that`s exactly what he did.
Sick yet? Who the hell makes remarks like this about a dead child? Pat Brown did while on the Nancy Grace show discussing this case. “Little children are just annoying that way” When you rape them, they tend to object.? That is not even remotely funny or cute! WTF is wrong with this woman? When does she not blame the victim? But to say this about a 5-year old child is reprehensible!
Hey, and don’t forget to blame her father!
BROWN: That`s extremely creepy. I mean, we know this guy. He should have been in jail and never let out. He shot three people and got probation, so what`s wrong with those people down there, the judge and the parole board? I do not know. But this guy is a lifetime felon. He should not have ever been around Shaniya.
I`m sorry, I`m going to be the one to say this. The father was negligent allowing Shaniya to go down there. When you`re a parent, you never leave your child anyplace, unless a court forces you, where you do not absolutely know these people are safe to be around. And that`s the people — the mother has people that are around her that are safe. And the mother apparently was involved in stuff. All the people around her are felons. Her boyfriend`s a felon. McNeill`s a felon. Good God, everybody`s a felon. So she had no — there was no reason to put her there, to put her life at risk. And obviously, we see what happened.
I find her comments so offensive and out of line. I know I will piss people off by saying so, but when is enough going to be enough? She continually blames the victim. How can she advocate for victims while blaming them? I just don’t understand it. How can anyone blame the victim? How can anyone blame Shaniya’s father? He is a broken man. Have you seen him on television? I can’t watch him because his heartbreak tears at my soul. He is going to have to live with his decision for the rest of his life, and it is so unfair for this woman to lay blame on him for trying to do the right thing and allow Shaniya a relationship with her mother. He did what he thought was best for his daughter, and for her to lay blame is just wrong on so many levels. When did profiling include laying blame on those who were harmed?
I’m done venting. I was just REALLY pissed about this particular line of commentary by this wing nut. I find nothing funny about the rape and death of a child. NOTHING.

I watched that episode of Nancy Grace and was totally appalled when that so called “profiler” made that statement! I cannot for the life of me understand how she gets away with the s**t she says!! When Shaniya was found you could see her fathers heart being ripped from his chest! Yet she thinks its ok to add to that pain? She’s a ignorant b***h! I have never liked her but after her lastest low class comments I can truly say i despise her!
I’ve stopped watching Nancy Grace because of this nasty b***h. I refuse to waste time listening to her spew the same garbage over and over on every case. Nothing is ever new or orginal with her. I can’t wait for karma to come and bite her right on her ugly ass.
Has no one told these talk shows that this woman is NOT a real profiler? I would think that would be a start. Getting her off the air, unable to make public remarks as she did about this little girl and her father. Would it help if a million people wrote to Nancy Grace? How about a thousand people? Or just a hundred? I wonder if it would matter then? Maybe we should try it????? If Nancy continues to have her on her show, or doesn’t at least mention that she WON’T be on there anymore because they found out she is a fraud….then how about we all stop watching Nancy? How about those hundred people, or thousand people, how about we all write her and tell her WHY we aren’t watching her show any longer, if in fact we tell her how we feel and she does nothing about it…. I think we should give it a try??
It’s blatantly clear why this idiot woman says the things she does. Because SHE HAS NO background or education to backup her so-called profiling career. If she did, she would have learned what to say and what not to say. However, it should also be blatantly obvious that even the least educated person would know better than to say these things, just by simple instinct, or morals, humanity…etc. etc.
I never really paid attention to her prior to the last few months, before that she was just another blabber mouth on Nancy or JVM. I did start paying attention to what she says after reading up on her background. Along with being an idiot, she does say the most sickening things about victims that I’ve ever seen. I didn’t watch the episode of Nancy where she spoke of Shaniya, and thank God, I would have thrown something at my t.v. I have seen her say other things though, equally as wrong. I heard her talking about the woman who got snatched while walking and talking on her cell phone. Pat actually had the nerve to say that the woman had no right or place being on that road, on her phone, not paying attention to what was going on around her. OMG, I was shocked. It’s one thing to maybe say that we should all be aware of our surroundings, and walking in the dark might be a bad idea, especially in isolated areas. Maybe we should bring a friend, or a big dog, or even a weapon would be helpful. The problem is….that’s NOT how she said it. She seriously worded it so that it would place ALL THE BLAME on the victim of the kidnapping. WTF is wrong with her???? WTF is wrong with these people who keep letting her be on t.v.?????
I’m curious if anyone, most especially Nancy, who claims to be an advocate of victims…how did she react to what Pat said? How did anyone else on the panel react? Did anyone call her out on it?? I’ll look for the episode on youtube, but if I can’t find it….I’d really like to know if anyone said anything to her about that comment. I agree, and if you listen to her everyone is a psychopath. She doesn’t profile – she makes uneducated opinions about criminals and blames victims.

I haven’t watched her show in months. NG’s head is so far up her own rear end it’s ridiculous. She’s always showing pics of her twins, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen one with her included. The friggin nanny probably takes the pics.
The fact that Ms. Brown would even appear on NG, tells me volumes about her.
To be fair, I think she was being sarcastic…but that’s no way to be sarcastic, on national television. That being said, she doesn’t sound like a profiler to me. She sounds like an opinionated woman. I could make 90% of the guesses that she makes.

I agree. It was very inappropriate. There is nothing funny about the rape and death of a little girl. She just doesn’t seem to know when not to say these things, and how can she refer to someone as a psychopath when she has never done a psychological assessment on someone she has never met? She is not a psychologist/psychiatrist. She doesn’t have a background in psychology. What gives?
I bet this perv’s defense will be that he didn’t mean to kill her, he just meant to rape her. Either way should lead to the death penalty IMO, but it won’t. This is just one more piece of human garbage that we the taxpayers will have to support. Same as it ever was.

I saw that epidode of Nancy Grace and if I could have reached through the TV set and smacked Ms. Brown across the mouth, I would have. There is NEVER a “right time” to be flippant about the rape and murder of a 5-year-old little girl. And blaming the father was unexcusable.
A Masters degree in Criminal Justice does not a “criminal profiler” make. Where is the Masters or Doctorate in Psychology? What are the prerequisites for an FBI or forensic criminal profiler?
I hate NG and know I very little about PB. That said, all of you seem to so why are news stations having her on their programs?? Don’t they background check their sources?? NG is a total DisGrace to the justice system and her lousy, nasty, know-it-all attitude is probably why she isn’t in the legal profession any longer. I only watched her program a couple of times but I couldn’t stand it so I watch Anderson Cooper and Campbell Brown instead. I just don’t get why all the “unleashed” lawyers keep going back on her show. What a sad state their practices must be in if this is what they have to do to stay in business.
I like that she gives air time to many of the missing children cases that aren’t making it on primetime news, but when she starts in with her emotion-laden “friend” BS that is sooo fake, I just want to scream. I don’t think they vet their guests well because if they did, they would see what everyone else does about PB’s lack of credentials. What cases has she actually been involved in? Is there even a running list of ones she has profiled? If you listen to her, she tosses out word salad. She says nothing that no one doesn’t know about these people other than accusing them ALL of being psychopaths who cannot be cured.

She doesn’t have the proper credentials to be in the field she is in. She needs either a PHD or PSY D to go with her masters in criminal justice. Without that she is unqualified, unlicensed and IMO a liability to anyone she works for. It doesn’t shock me that she’s on NG’s show since NG herself was repeatedly admonished by her supervisors for lying in court, unfair and unethical practices and non disclosure of pertinent evidence. Nancy Grace, in her much talked about career with the court system has put many innocent people behind bars, many of which will come back and sue her ass for it. I can’t wait to see that talking head blow up. And how tasteless is it to.. on every single episode bring up her twins? I watched her talking to shaniyas brother and she stops him mid sentence to say “when i think about the twins.. blah blah blah”.. MID SENTENCE when he was speaking of his poor deceased sister!!Nancy Grace is a perfect example of “you’re only as good as the company you keep”.

She makes me sick. She is a waste of a human being, who has not got the sense to think before she speaks. That was one of the most vile things I have ever heard. I almost could not believe she said it, and then I considered what she is. A pompous self serving deluded heartless b***h. Gawd I just want to smack her, and then do it again. I had to fire off a few emails to complain about that sick comment, the producers should be fired for not editing out those twisted comments.

I was watching the NG show when Pat Brown made these comments. I was sickened by her total lack of compassion…..for Shaniya and her father. Mere moments after Pat blamed Shaniya’s father, I emailed HLN/NG.
I said in my email how “ironic” that Pat Brown’s comments, said with arrogance,smugness and pompousness blaming the father was broadcasted on a show that NG proudly states is a “victims advocate” show.
I also asked them their purpose for having Pat Brown on the show; perplexed even since we all know who is to blame for Shaniya’s death, Mario McNeill and Antoinette Davis, NOT her father!
I ended my email with the promise that until they get rid of Pat Brown, who insults not only victims, but my intelligence, I will get my news elsewhere.
This case has broken my heart. I have had to take a break from watching and reading about crimes, for the time being it has taken a toll on me.
Everyone needs to contact the advertisers. That is how to get her off of NG. Refuse to buy their products if she is not removed from the panel. She is an idiot, and her brand of “wit” is neither appropriate or funny.

She can’t name one case she has contributed to, she profiles solved crimes and of course always has a totally different profile than the police who solved the case. I find it inexplicable that any television or radio show would even try to foist this bimbo off on the public as a person with credentials to call herself a profiler. Remember not one case, not one police force or agency is willing to work with Pat Brown, it’s all in her head and the crazy is that people are throwing their money away on what this woman writes.
