Default MTV “True Life” casting notice “I’m Looking for My Child”
My name is Jenny and I am a producer from MTV’s documentary series “True Life.” We are currently casting an episode called “I’m Looking for My Child” and looking for parents 16-28 who are currently separated/estranged from/not in custody of their child(ren) for any reason (adoption, foster care, living with an ex-spouse/gf/bf or distant relative, rehab, etc.) and hoping to reunite. That’s an interesting idea, but WE Channel has a show called the Locator, he’s a man who finds children/parents or other family members who have been lost.

It’s tough because sometimes the birth parent meets the kids and the kids don’t like her at all, or the kid find the birth mother and just the look on their faces shows that she thinks the birth mother is trash and can’t wait to get away. Sometimes it seems to work out but very often, not so much.
