Haylee Headed to Foster Care
All I can say about this is HALLELUJAH! Hurray!!! Finally, someone with some sense has intervened and is making sure that this little girl has a chance at a decent life. I know that the foster care system has gotten a bad rap in many states, but in this instance I really feel that this little girl is better off in a foster placement than with her grandmother. Look at the outstanding job she did with Cyle and Candace. Two fine upstanding examples of citizens. NOT.
I hold granny culpable in some way. She knew that Candace was playing house with a pedophile. Haylee’s safety wasn’t that important then, so why the sudden concern now? Does Ohio offer a monetary reward for having temporary custody? Was Haylee a paycheck to her? I just didn’t think that she was the best choice for a custodial guardian.
“We are currently coordinating Haylee’s return with San Diego County,” said Edith Gilliland, an attorney for Children Services. “She will be placed with a foster family in order for her to be in a safe environment at this time.”
At least Haylee has a chance for a decent life now. Meanwhile, Candace still sits in federal custody waiting extradition for harboring a fugitive. I wish Ohio would charge her for putting her child in a harmful situation by bringing the pedo into her life. Make an example out of her.

oh thank god..
At least in this case, the child might have a shot at a normal healthy life now. I am thankful people opened their eyes enough to realize how harmful her life could have been.
I know at first i thought granny would be ok, but granny would probably allow mommy to be around more than she should be, and have more alone time than she should and we would see a repeat of what just happened and possibly worse.
This is the right thing for this child.

They will be looking at Ms. Watson’s ability to parent Haylee since she has two children who are in trouble with the law and serving prison sentences.
In some states, government pays for child care services for low income families, ie; babysitting while the custodial parent/guardian works. I wonder if this is the case since the programs I’m familiar with are not scrutinized well by the state and people can get away with lying about the amount of hours, who is actually babysitting, etc.
Foster care is a toss up but the odds are in her favor. I think it’s the best decision.
Not to mention how many pedophiles are in that family. This is tthe best news I have heard so far in this case..
I’m not sure how good the foster care system is ..but hopefully it gives Haylee a chance to have a somewhat decent life.It’s obvious to me that the grandma is unfit I mean look at her kids …why give her the chance to screw up another life?
It’s a sad day when we’re all happy about a kid being put in foster care, isn’t it? But, I really think that in this case it is best for that little girl. Her grandmother didn’t seem to want to “implicate” her daughter or her son, and it was such a peek into her own thought process and how she raised her own kids — no accountability. Haylee deserves to have a chance.

Thank goodness she was found safe and hopefully will be placed in a safe foster home. Foster homes rarely have good reputations but I have known quite a few foster parents and they were great. Hopefully Haylee will remain safe and find love so she can grow up partially normal at least.
I imagine if it is like adoption agencies, young, white children are easy to place (more couples want them).
Oh, Granny is absolutely culpable. It is called “white trash”.
YEP! She KNEW her daughter was hanging with the pedo. That says enough in my book. She did nothing to get the little one out of there. In fact, Candace wasn’t even supposed to have unsupervised visits, was she?
This is such great news, Haylee’s uncle is a SO, and granny knew this little girl was being exposed to a pedophile and waited 5 days to report her missing. She is the last person who should have custody of the child. I hope Haylee can find her way back from her mother trading her child innocence for the illusion of having a man who would only be with her if he got the child in the process. I think this pretty much proves that Haylee was molested, and she should never be back with her family. I truly hope parental and familial rights are terminated and this little girl finds the family she surely deserves.
